Professor Robert E. Hinson is the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) at the University of Kigali, Visiting Professor at the Lincoln International Business School, and an Extraordinary Professor at the North West Business School in South Africa.
Professor Robert E. Hinson is a marketing communications practitioner, turned scholar. He holds a DPhil in Marketing from the University of Ghana and a PhD in International Business from the Aalborg University Business School. In his marketing communications career, he managed advertising budgets for brands like Acer, Canon, LG, Microsoft, Mercedes Benz, and Peugeot. In 2004, Robert also worked as the Marketing Communications Advisor to the Cal Bank IPO, a bank that eventually got listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange. There was an over subscription of shares by over 400%, making it one of the most successful IPOs in Ghana to date.
Robert has served on and continues to serve on notable local and international boards. A prolific marketing scholar in Africa, he was ranked by the AD Scientific Index 2021 as the leading marketing scholar in Africa (https://www.adscientificindex.com/scientist.php?id=89518).
